I am nobody. I don't have experience building boats, I don't know how to fish, and I've never been to Indonesia. However, I can and will learn to do these things, and I am going to Indonesia. I am going to help, because I've been given the vision and the opportunity to do so.

One of the ways that I plan to fund this effort, is through nobody. nobody is the name of my clothing company. About 2 years ago, my best friend Chris and I tossed around some ideas about making T-shirts. We talked and talked, and we came up with a lot of great ideas, but neither of us moved on it. Then about 6 months ago, my co-worker, Ryan, and I realized that we had pretty much the same ideas. Not to mention the same mind, thought processes, logic, living conditions, habits, and just about everything else. But we too never did anything... until now. It took this massive vision and the green light from The Man upstairs, to motivate me to get this off the ground.

We are starting very small. I lovingly refer to it as a "grass-roots campaign", because I really really like that phrase.

It all begins with 1,000 stickers, which you may or may not have seen around Los Angeles, and 96 T-Shirts. We are selling the shirts exclusively on this website. Given the circumstances, we don't have the time, nor the inclination to deal with any retail stores. And I refuse to allow the man to make any money off of this. The T-shirts are $26 each. The fund allocation is as follows :

As of right now, each shirt will cost us $4.50 to manufacture. From the $26, $14 will go directly to The Human Fund, $9 will go back into production, so that for every T-shirt that is purchased, we can produce 2 more. That leaves $3 profit for us. We will not produce round 2 of T-Shirts, until round 1 is sold out. The idea is to let the business grow on its own. You, the people, will drive its growth. We need you to not only buy T-shirts, but to tell your friends to do so as well. Basically, nobody WANTS YOU TO TAKE IT TO THE STREETS.

As I stated earlier, this is the only place that you can buy these. If they are being sold elsewhere, the money is not going to the right place. Therefore, do not buy knockoff nobody shirts (just in case some jerk tries to sell knockoff nobody shirts.)

To add a sense of rarity, and therefore urgency to buy, each round of 96 shirts will only be produced once. The first round will be "nobody CARES". After they sell out, we will post the next two types of shirts that will be available. We will eventually expand to women's, kid's, hats, jackets, and whatever else we feel nobody needs to be involved with.

Our first goal, as a business, will be to buy a silk screen machine of our own. That will afford us the opportunity to make more profit, and put more creative products in the hands of the people.

This is a very real way that anybody can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this terrible tragedy, and get a really really cool T-shirt in the process.

So buy one for yourself, buy one as a gift. Buy one for your mom, buy some for the kids. Tell everyone you know about us, show Sumatra that you care. If you can't go down yourself, don't worry, nobody's going there.
